Binday.uk is a web app and native Android app (iOS coming soon) that uses the data on Wigan Council's website to tell you which bins to put out.
We first built an API to scrap the data from the council's existing website. This API is open source and anyone can use it: Wigan Council Open Source Data API.
Then we built the web and Android app front-end to sit on top. The front-ends are written entirely in HTML/JavaScript, there's no server-side code.
